Product Overview
The SS Series Railway Sleeper Screw is a threaded rail fastening component used to secure rails or rail fastening assemblies to compatible sleepers and embedded inserts. Standard SS types include several diameter and length combinations for different fastening arrangements. We supply standard and drawing-based configurations for railway construction, track maintenance, replacement programs and wholesale distribution.

Material & Manufacturing
For AREMA screw spikes, the published specification distinguishes standard-strength and high-strength products, requires each lot to be traceable to a uniquely identifiable steel heat, and specifies formed heads with rolled threads; thread cutting may be used when agreed by the purchaser.

Surface Treatment
Surface treatment is selected according to the project environment and specification:
Plain / Oiled: For applications requiring basic temporary corrosion protection.
Zinc Plated: For specified corrosion-protection requirements.
Hot-Dip Galvanized: For outdoor and humid environments requiring a thicker zinc protective layer.
Zinc-Aluminum Flake: Available where a non-electrolytic coating system is specified.
Customer-Specified Finish: Coating type, thickness and inspection requirements can be produced according to the approved specification.

Quality Inspection & Documentation
Inspection is performed against the agreed product standard, drawing and purchase specification. Typical controls include:
• Chemical composition and material identification
• Tensile, yield and hardness testing where specified
• Dimensional and head geometry inspection
• Thread dimensional inspection with calibrated gauges
• Heat-treatment verification where applicable
• Surface-treatment and coating inspection
• Visual and workmanship inspection
• Batch and heat-number traceability
Available quality documents can include EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, mechanical test reports, dimensional inspection records, coating reports and certificates of conformity, according to the purchase order and inspection plan.

FAQ
Q: What is the usual MOQ for SS Series Sleeper Screws?
A: The typical MOQ is 5,000 pieces for standard configurations. Trial quantities can be discussed separately depending on the model and production schedule.
Q: What is the normal production lead time?
A: For standard specifications, a practical planning range is 15–30 days after order confirmation. Custom tooling, special materials or additional testing may require a longer schedule.
Q: Can you provide samples before a bulk order?
A: Yes. Standard samples can normally be supplied for dimensional and assembly verification. For customized products, sample timing depends on drawing approval and production requirements.
Q: Can different SS models be mixed in one order?
A: Yes. Different SS models and sizes can be included in one purchase order. Pricing and production scheduling are calculated according to the quantity of each specification.
Q: What should be included in a drawing for quotation?
A: A useful drawing should show the overall length, diameter, head dimensions, thread profile and pitch, thread length, material, mechanical requirements and surface treatment. An approved sample can also be used as the reference.
Q: What payment terms are commonly available?
A: For export orders, T/T and L/C are commonly used. A typical T/T arrangement is 30% deposit with the balance before shipment, subject to contract agreement. L/C terms can be arranged for qualifying orders.
Q: Can the order be inspected before shipment?
A: Yes. Pre-shipment inspection can be arranged according to the agreed inspection plan, including customer-appointed or independent third-party inspection where required.
