The BS Screw Spike of Hot Dip Galvanized is a threaded railway fastener used to secure compatible rail fastening assemblies to sleepers, base plates or other receiving components. Product Structure & Functional Design
Head & Drive Interface: Provides the bearing and driving surfaces required for installation with the specified fastening assembly and tool.
Threaded Shank: Engages the corresponding sleeper insert or threaded receiving component to secure the fastening assembly.
Head dimensions, thread geometry, diameter and overall length are matched to the applicable fastening-system drawing or approved sample.
Hot-Dip Galvanizing
The screw spike is supplied with a hot-dip galvanized coating for protection of the steel substrate against atmospheric corrosion. The coating is suitable for outdoor railway fastening applications exposed to moisture and normal atmospheric conditions.
